According to IKO Industries LTD, architectural shingles are not to be applied in areas where temperatures drop lower than 40°F because a proper seal cannot be maintained, and shingle warranties will not apply by the manufacturer. Because temperatures frequently drop below this along the Front Range, we do not recommend architectural shingles for your residence or building.
